Yen and Jay are planning their wedding this coming July in Texas where Yen was originally from. Yen contacted us to capture the celebration of their marriage here in Seattle, since most of their friends and Jay’s family are from here. We started off at the Pagoda in Beacon Hill, which happened to be pitch black and no lights, not the ideal conditions for a photographer, but we came prepared (with a couple tricks up our sleeves), got the shots we had envisioned, and were very pleased with the results as they came out better then we’ve expected! Then we did a quick pitstop at the Dr. Jose Rizal Bridge to take some portraits. We have always wanted to take photos there, photographers with their tripods are always taking advantage of the great view of downtown Seattle. Of course that day was no exception, there was a guy there with his tripod =). We of course didn’t bring one, as we prefer to travel light. After that we headed down to Chinatown where Yen and Jay held an intimate reception at the House of Hong Chinese Restaurant with their closest friends and family. They were a fun group and we took some really funny photos, reserved just for them =). Thank you Yen and Jay for helping us start the new year off on the right foot!
It’s not easy shooting in the dark but you made it look cool! Love the lighting.
following the blog, good stuff!
