I’m excited to share a story of reuniting with the wonderful Wong family. If you’ve been following my blog, you might remember the Wongs – a family that holds a special place in my heart. This wasn’t the first time I had the privilege of capturing precious moments with their son, Colin, who shares the same name as my own little one and is the same age. It was an active session filled with joy, laughter, and love as I witnessed Colin’s growth and personality. I last saw him as a newborn!
But that’s not all; I also had the privilege of photographing their wedding about a decade ago. So when I had the chance to meet up again, at the very place of their wedding photos at the Ballard Locks during a beautiful fall day, I couldn’t contain my excitement.
The Ballard Locks, located in Seattle, is a picturesque place, especially during the fall season. Vibrant leaves painted the landscape with red and orange, creating the perfect backdrop for our reunion photoshoot. The air was crisp, and the atmosphere was brimming with a sense of nostalgia and anticipation.
Meeting the Wong family again after all these years was like catching up with old friends. I had shared such significant moments with them in the past. Reuniting with them brought back fond memories.
The Wongs are a lively bunch, and our photoshoot was no exception. Colin, now a little explorer, was full of energy, just like my own son Colin.
As we wandered through Ballard Locks capturing candid moments, it was impossible not to reflect on the Wong family’s journey. I had been there to document the beginning of their story at their wedding, and now, a decade later! Oh my am I getting old!!!
The reunion with the Wong family was a memorable day filled with love, laughter, and beautiful fall scenery. I can’t express how grateful I am to have been a part of their journey, from their wedding day to capturing precious moments with their family. It’s moments like these that make my job as a photographer truly gratifying.
As the autumn leaves fall, I am reminded of the beauty of life and the joy that comes from reconnecting with old friends.
