We’ve been offering the custom coffee-table books with our package for a while now, which is a more cost-efficient option to the custom Flushmount wedding album. So what is the difference between the two?
Our coffee-table book is a hardcover book that is printed digitally on premium paper or heavy stock paper with variety of finishes. A custom image is printed and laminated on the cover, which is similar to art and cookbooks you see at the bookstore. We offer two types of custom coffee-table book the standard Hardcover book and the Layflat book. The two are pretty much the same, except the Layflat book pages are printed on heavy hinged paper that does not bend and lay flat when open.
However if you’re looking for a high quality elegant and stunning album to share with your family and friends, the custom Flusmount wedding album is for you. The Flushmount album is printed on high quality photographic paper mounted on archival board, with a variety of covers from traditional leather to artistic metal covers.
The main difference between the Coffee-Table book and the Flushmount album is the way they are printed and the material used to create them, but both serve the purpose of displaying the collection of photos that reflect your wedding day in a magazine-style design versus the traditional photo album. Both the book and album are custom designed to tell the story of your special day by us, specifically for you. Many photographers will opt out in designing the album themselves by just sending the photos to the album company or a third party to get it designed. Since it takes quite some time to layout the photos and it does require a good sense of design to design a beautiful album. Not only are we photographers, but Charles and I have a background in graphic design as well, our other love. We use industry standard professional design programs to custom design your album, that gives us more control to pretty much layout your book anyway we want. Our books and albums are designed to be clean and simple, as we want the photos to speak for themselves.
