Just ordered the new nikon 50mm 1.4G!

It took me for ever to find one. Everyone seems to be out of stock on these. Or are charging a huge premium! Cindy and I got to use the new version at Glazier’s in Seattle, unfortunately they wouldn’t sell the demo no matter how much I tried. The focus was nice, smooth and quiet. Lucky I brought some decent lenses along to put it through it’s paces. It was more contrasty and had better color rendition I thought than the nifty fifity and bokeh was great! In low light it really put my 17-55mm 2.8 to shame. I hope I get it in time for our next portrait session on Sunday. Only 4 more days I’m told. I got it from www.simonscamera.com. It’s nice that our dollar is getting a little bit stronger again =).
